Hello,

Well almost a year ago, I first blogged that I weighed over 350, the actual weight was probably closer to 355, but none the less I weighed this morning and I am down to 318, that is 37 pounds in one year. Once again not breaking any speed records, but less than I started. At weight watchers they want you to try to lose 10 percent of your weight. Well I did accomplish that to begin with. We will see what this year brings.

Christmas was great, and the New Year will be even better.

SPRINGFIELD, Tenn. - Springfield residents are speaking out after learning the town's vice mayor is a convicted sex offender.
It all started when James Hubbard's profile appeared on the state's sex offender registry.
Hubbard said he did it and admits it was a huge mistake.
Now, he wants to get on with his life.
Court records indicate that Hubbard's troubles date back to 1991 when he was a 44-year-old counselor at Springfield High School.
According to the 16-year-old victim's complaint, she was in his office when Hubbard unzipped her pants and put his hands between her legs. Then he unzipped his own pants and made her perform a sex act.
He was later convicted for statutory rape.
"I made a mistake," Hubbard said. "I hate that mistake. I die daily from that mistake."
His past came back to haunt him, in part, due to a new state law requiring all convicted sex offenders to register with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.
His profile popped up this week.
"I basically feel that people like me, who pay their dues, shouldn't have to go back through this wretched situation, to be opened up in public and humiliated for something that they paid their dues for," Hubbard said.
A number of his constituents are standing behind him.
"I think he paid his price and I think he's doing well," said Aaron Lucas.
Lucas said Hubbard served his punishment and should be free to serve the community with no problems.
"We all make mistakes," Lucas said. "we all got skeletons in our closet."
However those feelings aren't shared by all.
"You don't want to know what I think should happen to a guy who rapes a minor," said Matt Gamblin.
"I'm not backing down. For those people who feel I shouldn't be there, God bless them. But I'm not running," Hubbard said.
Hubbard said he will continue to serve the community and doesn't plan to resign from his post.
Hubbard said he plans to appeal to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation to get his profile removed from the registry. A loophole in the law may allow him to do that.

As you can see I have been busy this morning. To many people are missing and forgotten. No one should have to wonder what has happened to their loved one. Even if the outcome is not the best one at least they have a few answers. It appears that law enforcement only really focuses on the pretty little white girls from upscale neighborhoods and this is not right.

Did Adam Walsh die if vain?

Someone please answer the question, why are the only missing persons shown on Television rich little white girls? If Adam had gone missing today, how many people would know about it. While the Amber alert is a great start, the media still really on focuses on rich white girls. Elizabeth Smart and Natalee Holloway were on the TV every day for weeks on end. Even today 10 years later, there is still coverage of Jonbenet Ramsey. If anyone takes a few moments to go the website of Missing and exploited children http://www.missingkids.com, there are literally thousands of children and adults that need the same coverage. My original question was Did Adam die in vain. While there have been great improvements on letting the public know about missing persons and beginning the searches immediately. The media biases in covering only missing rich white girls begs the question would Adam get any coverage today if we were missing.

At about 12:36pm on July 24th, 1996, 7 year old Morgan Violi was abducted from the parking lot at Colony Apartments in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The abduction occurred almost directly in front of her family's apartment. The suspect was driving a maroon colored 1978 Chevy Van that was believed to have been stolen out of Dayton, Ohio on July 23rd, 1996.
A second vehicle, a 1979 or older white Ford Van with a slatted trailer-door type window on the side was seen parked by the old barn on North Swift Road at Webster Road in Robertson County on July 25th, 1996. This vehicle was at this location for about 4 hours. This location is about 100 feet from where the remains of Morgan Violi were found on October 20th, 1996.
The suspect was described as being a white male with collar length sandy brown hair. He appeared to be in his twenties at the time. He had a slender build but with defined muscles. At that time he had a mustache and some beard. He did have one outstanding feature that was noticed by all witnesses - he had a sharp, distinct nose.

The Department of Defense announced today a change in the status of a soldier serving in Operation Iraqi Freedom from duty status - whereabouts unknown to captured.
Pfc. Keith M. Maupin, 20, of Batavia, Ohio, was declared captured on April 16.
On April 9, Maupin and Sgt. Elmer C. Krause, 40, of Greensboro, N.C., were categorized as duty status - whereabouts unknown when individuals using rocket-propelled grenades and small arms fire attacked their convoy. Both soldiers were assigned to the Army Reserves 724th Transportation Company, from Bartonville, Ill.
Krauses status remains unchanged because his whereabouts remain unknown. Efforts continue to obtain the successful and safe return of both individuals.

It has been a while

Hello,

Well I just realize that it has been so long since I posted. UHH, nothing really has happened. I am still at 350. I am looking for a receipe for cranberry juice. I have 3 packs of cranberries, but I need to know how to boil them to make juice. Stevie and Jenny are fine.

My mom had surgery on her right hand yesterday. It is to correct what they call a trigger finger. She had her left had done back in Jan. Stevie babysat Jenny, Isaac, Aaron and Jessie, because Teresa and Scott had to work. He seemed to do well and they kids gave him good reviews. This is the first time he has babysat so I guess he done pretty good.

My sister inlaw Kathy has been helping Stevie and I with cleaning for the last couple of weeks and tonight she and I cleaned alone because Stevie had a special floor project he had to complete and this allowed her and I to have a honest discussion about weight, she said she would be my cheerlearder to help me this time around. I had Dawn and (she was WONDERFUL), but then I quit Kroll and I have not had that support. This is really encouraging.

Also a fellow Blogger also talks about how she calculates her BMI to see when she is severly obese, then Obese and then overweight etc. I thought this was an excellent idea.

Right now I am extremely Obese.

195 is when I will be very Obese.

170 is when I will be Obese

145 is when I will be overweight

120 is when I will be "normal"

IT'S BEEN A WHILE

AGGGHHHH, it has been too long

First a weight update. I am now 353, it would be nice to get in the 40s this week. The progress is slow, but still progress

Nothing much has changed. Jenny has a speech/cognitive evaluation tomorrow. She is still not walking, but we are getting closer. She now climbs on everything!!! It is awesome to see her develop into a little person. She is the most perfect thing in my life. If I had to retrace all life steps, no matter how bad to still get Jenny I would do it without even thinking. She is worth every tear cried, every hurt emotion, every moment of physical pain I have ever had, she is absolutely priceless. That is why I have to fix myself to make certain I can take care of her.

Nothing else matters, not even Stevie. He still acts a 15 year old. When we first met that was a cute quality, he was very child like and I could basically play house, he was my child. But now I have a child and I am not going to raise him anymore. His teenage behavior is now ridculous for someone his age and he will have to grow up some day.

Isaac got his big cast off. He now has a short one. It is below his knee. He has to wear it for another 6 weeks. But he should be well soon.

I will make an effort to write more often.

It's been a while

Hello,

I know it has been a while, but nothing much has changed. I now weigh 355 that is good news. Jenny is great and Stevie is still Stevie.

Isaac gets his big cast off in 2 weeks. He is really doing better.

I watched Dr. Phil yesterday and it was about obesity, normally I avoid these programs like the plague, but yesterday I watched and he said something that really stuck. He sai to loose the amount of weight needed you have to literally change your life and I had never thought about that before. I guess it was like a light bulb went off that not only am I going to have to stop eating so much I am going to have to actually get off my butt and move. I have about 10 excersie videos, all unopened that I am going to have use. I have to lose weight or I am gonig to die. I think I really depressed and in a funk but I am not sure what to do about it. Actually I know what I have to do. It is called get off my butt and move. So we will see how this new week goes.

What is life?

Heavy question for such a nice day, but I am really wondering. Why am here and would anyone care if I was gone the next day? I mean really, what does it all matter. I am trying to lose weight but on the TV all weekend it has talked about how I am going to die since I am fat. At what point does it become too little too late? Also I am getting old. I will be 37 on my next birthday (if i live that long) that is right close to 40 and that is when everyone talks about getting cancer and dying of heart attacks. I had a dream last night that I had to have open heart surgery and I wondered if the surgery was worth. I am just not sure. And what am I going to do with my life anyway? I would very much like to work for either the sheriff's department or rescue squad, social work or something like, but once again I think my weight gets in the way. I know I use my weight was my shield, my wall and it is the perfect excuse for everything. But I am tired of using it. And then I stop and think, did I use that for too long and now it is too late to do anything. I just don't know.

Super Bowl Sunday

I know it has been forever, I just have alot of mixed feelings going on. On the weight I am down to 352. I hope to be in the 340s this week!!!! Stevie is still Stevie. He went to Michaels and bought some really neat stuff. Jenny is taking great strides in walking. It is really exciting. She should be walking by herself hopefully in the next month or so. Nothing has really changed. Still cleaning at night and listening to Stevie during the day. I did get my new family tree software and I have been working on that. That is really exciting.

In regards to my weight. They have been talking on TV about heart disease and sometimes I wonder if i have screwed my body so bad that there is no hope. I used to be scared of death and within the last week it just doesn't bother me at all. I really don't understand. I am loosing weight, but I wonder if it is too little to late. I really don't know.

I weighed last night and i am still at 357, but the monthly visitor is here, so that is not too bad. Stevie is still Stevie. He is totally excited about visiting a floral shop tomorrow. He keeps asking if i think he is gay. I tell me him know, but somedays I wonder. His school is going good. He has a class called creative writing and I think I will wind up being creative about it. Isaac is still layed up. They are not sure when he will get to go back to school. I took him to physical therapy yesterday and they said that he would not be able to use the crutches until the cast came down some. They are working on getting him a wheel chair.

I have to go put groceries up. Cya later

IT'S BEEN A WHILE, VERY SORRY

Okay, here is an update on what has been going on.

First new weight is 357, not bad, better to go down a little than go up.

On Saturday night, my nephew Isaac had a bad wreck on a four wheeler he broke both his tibia and fibula bones in his right leg. He has a cast on up to his thigh, this was put on on Tuesday. He will be basically out of commission for 3 months. This is very sad for a 12 year old, but he has been getting in some serious ninetendo cube time.

On Thursday, my niece Jessie,(Isaac's sister) had her tonsils removed. This will hopefully stop her sleep apnea, she is only 5, plus the other surgeon apparently botched the job when he took out her adenoids and they had to remove scar tissue from that. They are going to check her hearing in 2 weeks and maybe this will give them some insight as to her learning difficulties.

Last Friday, my momma had surgery on her had, she had trigger finger and she basically only has use of one had at this point, but she helps as much as possible. I had to take her and have her surgery done at Nashville.

Jenny is fine, therapy went really well this week.

Stevie has grand ideas about being a florist. He has bought about 20 books recently and he is all set to do the whole floral and photography idea. We will see.

The last week has been very busy due to me having to assist Teresa with the kids and momma, plus take care of Stevie,

Good morning,

I have decided not to join the Y at this time, I really need to walk in my living room, before I start going other places, plus if i need a treadmill I can go over to Momma's and use hers. The 4 pounds last night was nice but I must do better from now on, I know I can easily put that right back on in no time, like one day. I thought about joining, Weight Watchers again, and then I thought about LA Weight Loss, but for both of them, I know how to lose the weight, I just have wanted to. I have to do it myself this time. Jenny's in the bathtub and I need to check on her.

Well my new official weight is 358. 4 pounds in a week is not bad. I will weigh every Tuesday. Stevie and I finished before 9:30 tonight so that was an improvement. Jenny is asleep and I will I will go to

It's Cold and I hate Vegetables!!!

It is COLD TODAY, burrrrr. But anway, Stevie and I came up with a compromise on me babysitting, so that is better.

I having been trying to eat vegetables today and I think I would whether go on a liquid diet of oatmeal than eat them. I bought a juicer so I am going to try to make a veggie drink and get them that way. OTHER WISE, BLEECHHHHH.

Jenny has been fighting sleep most of the day and she finally went to sleep.

We are thinking of joining the Y but I am not sure, it will cost $89 for both Stevie and I, I really like the thought of getting to do water aberbics, but I am also thinking about joining Curves also. We will see

I will do an official weigh in tonight and will update you later. This is the first "official weigh in". I my beginning weight was exactly 362, so will we see what tonight brings. Wish me luck

I feel better today. Momma said that Isaac had a really good birthday party and his friends showed up, so that made me feel really good. It is raining like cats and dogs this morning and water ran under the kitchen door, but not too bad, I haven't looked outside yet, but I am sure it will look like a mud pit. I will take this any day over snow. Jenny is doing pretty good today and Stevie is still asleep. I don't know what time he came to bed. He was up past midnight. I am working on drinking water. I am now going to look for a recipe for a good vegetable soup.

That is how I feel today. Just blahh. Of course mr. schizo doesn't acts like nothing happened. He woke up as usual and has the gawl to tell me I am not acting myself today. YA THINK!!! I just told him I was tired. He seemed to by that, he is happy now that he heard me call Teresa and tell I could no longer watch the kids. Momma said she was calling day cares to find Jessie a place and I guess the boys will stay in a after school program. Stevie doesn't know it, but that was the absolute last straw. I officially give up on us. I am now making plans, it might take a while, but I now realize what I have to do.

I have no idea why I volunteered to do this.!!!! I will be in the funny farm before they go home. Don't get me wrong, they are great kids, but when you are not used to them. AGGHHH I want to crawl under a rock some where.

Happy New Year everyone. I went to bed last night about 11 and then Jenny woke up about 2:00 this morning, Stevie was still up but then at 2:30, he wanted to go to bed and she didn't so I got up. She has now went back to sleep, but now I am wide a wake.

Diet update, it has been over a week since I bought a 2 liter of diet coke. That is an accomplishment I can assure you. I think, as of this week, no more carbonated drinks will be bought for the house. If Stevie wants his diet Dr. Pepper that's fine, because I will never drink it, blechhh. But I am not even going to by Sprite of the Big K version anymore. I tackled the massive amount of paperwork on my desk yesterday and I think I will start on it again, since I am awake.
